Jesus Centered

From start to finish, Challenge is about the glory of God in the face of Christ (2 Cor. 4:6). He’s the One we want students remembering and talking about when they go home.

Relationally Infused

We believe spiritual growth takes place best in the context of relationships. Therefore, we create intentional opportunities to strengthen the connections between students and leaders.

Synergistically Architected

We work hard to create an intentionally integrated environment that bleeds the central message throughout each of the diverse components of Challenge in order to create a stronger learning environment.

Missionally Driven

We long to see a posture of “sentness” that moves students out toward others both locally and globally as disciples who make disciples. While at Challenge, we seek to join God in what He’s doing in the city by strengthening local partnerships that will last long after we’ve gone.

Prayer Saturated

Transformation is a supernatural, God-dependent process. Therefore, prayer is not simply a tactic, it is our transformational strategy. When we pray we know God moves.

2018 Theme

This generation of young people have a desire to bring change into the world coupled with the belief they have the capacity to do it. The problem is they lack a white hot why that is bigger than themselves or the shifting cultural fads of our day.

The good news is the movement of all movements – the one Jesus started – spans across all time, cultures and generations. His movement is in no way losing steam. But, to bring about any eternal good and lasting change this generation needs to reset their eyes on the founder of the movement. They must be captured with the founder of the movement and his vision for their part in it today.

At Challenge 2018, we will call students to see Jesus and to walk in the steps of his Bold Moves. We will call students to kneel to the authority of Jesus in a world where self has become the ultimate authority. We equip students to courageously stand for truth in a world that encourages them to be their own truth. We challenge youth to compassionately walk alongside others inviting them to surrender to Christ. Finally, we will ask students to lay down their lives to live for that which they cannot lose.
